Two rugs at the entrance door positioned inside and outside the Gallery Nova, Zagreb for Drei Tage bis zum Ende der Kunst group exhibition. Given the situation of social foreclosure, the display turned the gallery into a “vitrine box”and invited the audience to view it from the outside, on the other side of the closed doors.

The words here and there have been written by Renata Šember, the person in charge with the cleaning of the gallery, reflecting on the juxtaposition of safety and uncertainty and matters of (in)visibility.

During the collaboration with Renata, we exchanged the roles, she wrote the words while I cleaned the gallery in her place.

This work is as much an invitation as a reminder in times of Corona and raises questions of hospitality in relation to social distancing.
