“WORK DONE” is a site-specific installation created in the vitrine and on the pavement in front of Suprainfinit Gallery, by continuing the concrete patches found on the balconies of the block of flats where the gallery is situated.
Expanding the same visual code from the facade of the building, the two words from the title allude to the never-ending work that is done in the urban landscape of Bucharest. All these seam lines, similar to covered wounds, spotted on the gallery building find their significance in the vitrine and ultimately on the sidewalk.
The installation invites for a soft and personal reading of the public space, calling for a wide-angle perspective within the growing gentrification process in the city.
When is a work done, really?
